| | "The ability to have all the information in one place when it comes to hours worked and hours owing is a major time saver. In addition, our staff are confident in the calculations that Staff.Care performs. We have reduced the amount of queries over flexitime calculations at a stroke." A key element of the Staff.Care eRostering solution is the ability to hold comprehensive information about each employee whether they are on a permanent contract, temporary contract or work as Bank staff. This rich database of information allows staff to be rostered to particular units based on specific skill mix information configured for that unit. Recording details of skills and competencies of each member of staff allows scheduling to the precise budgetary requirements of the organisation. Staff.Care holds tables of information covering: - HR contact details, next of kin, payroll and security access rights
- Contract details such as period of contract and pay codes, rank, grade and primary and secondary units worked by the employee
- Description of how leaves are to be recorded and their individual allowances
| Training, Competencies and Alerts |
Staff.Care can be used as a local HR system. Training events, skills records and review procedures can be recorded in Staff.Care against each member of staff. Alerts can be set up to warn management when a particular course needs to be attended or when a certificate needs to be renewed. Skills, training requirements and events can also be set up to remind both management and employees to take a particular action e.g. renew their PIN number, attend an appraisal review or register for a CRB check. Staff.Care holds details of a particular contract for the employee with pay rates and hours to be worked. This information is used to ensure that the correct staff are scheduled to the correct units based on the rules that the organisation has configured in Staff.Care. Staff.Care uses the detailed contract information that is maintained on the employee’s record to aggregate costs against each shift that is worked. Reports can then be produced which reflect the actual hours worked and the cost of those hours against the budget that has been set for the unit. - Duration and type of contract ~ permanent, temporary, sessional etc
- Staff type: e.g. nurse, support worker
- Pay code and Bank pay code or annual salary
- Rank & Grade
- Number of hours to be worked per week
- Number of days off per week
- Maximum stretch of work e.g. can only be rostered 4 continuous days
