Multi.Care is a multi
disciplinary team patient clinical information system. It
allows multiple teams to access the same core patient data
but also have their "own" data for reporting. This allows
other teams to see the patient care across the regional
team.
Multi.Care is a user defined
patient based record keeping system designed to store all
the patient clinical and administrative activity performed
by health care professionals in the community. It has
extensive facilities for the storage and retrieval of
patient text, notes and correspondence as well as images
such as X-Rays and lab results. Included as standard is a
flexible and easy to use reporting system with widespread
capabilities including user defined statistical
calculations. Subject to appropriate security, patient
records can be transferred to a laptop for mobile workers on
the move. On returning to the office or a suitable
connection point any updates or changes will be synchronised
with the system’s central database.
Because of
the unique way in which Multi.Care has been designed it is
possible to define multiple services within the system.
Within each service individual teams can be defined with any
necessary interactions between each team.
The key to
this approach is that each service or team can be viewed
while displaying the patient record. This allows core
patient information to be shared amongst all teams saving
valuable time and helping keep patient data accurate and any
changes made available to all.
