Symptoms, Treatments and Medications

Pal.Care is capable of utilising many different coding models for prescribed medication including ICD 10. The Pal.Care Patient Clinical Module incorporates graphical representation of the data that can be displayed side by side for comparative purposes.

Symptoms and Treatments are user defined as is the type of graph to be viewed. The user can also specify date ranges so that specific detailed analysis is available for each symptom for each patient. It is therefore possible to view the symptom history from first record, to see the general trend and then to drill down to more detailed entries over the last few weeks.

 InfoDrug

With the Pal.Care medicines interface it is possible to search for medication via chapters/groups just like a manual look up in the BNF/MIMS book. InfoDrug provides searching facilities on a database that contains all the medicines that are available in the United Kingdom or Ireland.

The Pal.Care Info Drug module displays the ingredients, chemical structure, preparation, administration, actions, metabolism and excretion of the medicines selected. Searching can be by the BNF chapters, generic, branded or by the therapeutic purpose of a medicine and includes drill down facilities if more information is required.

Links to the manufacturer's web page for the clinical particulars of each medicine as well as access to the electronic medicines compendium are provided where available.
