iCare is a Patient Information Management System designed for use as a day-to-day tool to provide rapid access to patient’s clerical and medical details. The main objective of iCare is to increase the staff/patient contact time and to reduce the time spent on administrative duties.
The system can be easily configured to meet the specific requirements of your organisation. You can even create your own forms and reports to detail every aspect of a patients treatment; family information, diagnosis, medicines, carers etc.
Information can then be analysed and reported as you require it, with standard interfaces to Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF for greater flexibility. A senior staff nurse who herself claimed, "I don't do computers," took part in an introductory training session and a had a brief play with a demonstration version of iCare. The next day she surmised; "I think even I can use this iCare." Since then she has been using iCare regularily which both SMI and her colleagues at Bury Hospice think is a major breakthrough - and so does she.
